This time my partner was CJ Bauschka of 4 His Glory Creations. I was very lucky again with this pairing, thank you Lori!! :) I got a wonderful and HUGE bead soup, CJ was very generous! (To see her bead soup just click here)
But this does not mean it was easy to design something out of this stash, as there were beads I rarely use and the focal was LARGE :)) First I planned to use the focal for bead embroidery, then I realized the result would be enormous, so I changed my mind. Then I started making a necklace in turquoise and silver, but I found it a bit too simple. So I went back to my original plan, bead embroidery, but I used that pretty teal crystal I received, with the fire polished beads, and a brass button (the same I sent to CJ) and added a necklace that is a bit different than what I usually make for my bead embroidered pendants.
To use the silver focal I made the necklace with the same technique, I added two silver sun beads that I bought years ago and never knew what to use them for, and I used the silver rondelles with the bead caps, the clasp and some of the black seed beads from my bead soup. With the large focal, the concentric circles and the sun motif it turned out to look kind of Aztec, what do you think? Since I had more rondelles and sun beads, I made a simple bracelet and a pair of earrings too.
Here's one more photo of all I made, it is a lot and I still used less than a quarter of the beads I got! It will be so much fun to use the rest, as It was a lot of fun to create these pieces too! Thank you so much CJ for this amazing bead soup!!
