Zöld királynő nyaklánc / Green empress necklace

Készült az előző bogaras gyűrűhöz egy gyöngyhímzett medál is, amit eredetileg nem ilyennek terveztem ugyan, de menet közben így alakult :) A bogárszárny mellett egy Swarovski is csillog benne. Csak egy egyszerű többsoros gyöngysort kapott de gondolatban már továbbfejlesztettem :) A báli szezonra is jó lehet :)
I created this bead embroidered necklace to match the beetle ring in the previous post, I didn't plan it this way, but my plans almost always change while I work :) This time I added a sparking Swarovski crystal to the beetle wing too, and although the pendant is on a simple multi strand necklace now, I plan to work on it a bit more.

Bogaras gyöngyhímzett / Bead embroidery with beetle wings

Emlékeztek arra az egyszerű kis fülbevalóra amit borgárpáncélból készítettem? Annél azért komolyabb terveim is voltak vele, nem is egy, de csak most került rá a sor :) Süthető gyurmából készítettem bogarakat, a szárnyakkal fedve, ezeket hímeztem körbe bronzzal és persze kedvenc irizáló gyöngyeimmel :) A gyöngyrojt mintha a bogár százlába lenne :D Szerintetek túl extrém?

Do you remember the jewel beetle earrings I showed you a while ago? They are very simple I know, and I had more plans with the wings, but it's only now that I touched them again. So I made beetles from polymer clay, covered with the wings, and I embroidered a pendant around it. The fringe looks a bit like it was the many legs of the beetle :) Do you think it's too bizarre?

Inspiráció / Inspiration

Néhányan biztos láttátok isztambuli képeimet, amiket idén tavasszal készítettem, gyakran nézegetem őket azóta is, beleszerettem a városba teljesen :) Persze már az utazás előtt is imádtam a török kultúrát, művészetet, és úgy általában az iszlám művészetet. Ezért aztán nagyon izgatott lettem amikor az Etsy Beadweavers Team decemberi kihívásának témája az Arabeszk stílus lett :) Az ékszer már készülőben van, de azt még nem mutathatom meg, azt viszont igen hogy honnan vettem inspirációt. Isztambulban ebből volt elég :)

Some of you might have seen my photos from Istanbul, where I spent my holiday this spring. I keep looking at the photos again and again since then :) I was actually a big fan of Turkish and Islamic art in general, not that i'm an expert, so I was very excited when the topic of the EBW Team december challenge was announced: Arabesque style! :) The piece for the challenge is almost ready,  I can't show it yet, but I can show where I took inspiration from :)
